Prof. David Linton of the Hadassah University Hospital Intensive Care unit said today : “…we faced many events in the past where we couldn’t help to save the life of a Cypriot patient at short notice because the air ambulance was not immediately available… some of these cases were to take a patient to a specialized institution for life saving treatment or to bring a super specialized medical expert or specific technology to the island to assist the local medical team. After more then 30 years of experience in international intensive care medicine and as a professional air ambulance pilot I feel that another dream is becoming a reality.”
